Haj Committee India extends deadline for second installment
cancel

Jeddah: The Haj Committee of India announced that the deadline for the payment of the second installment for selected pilgrims of Haj 2024 has been extended until March 13. This development comes as a relief for pilgrims who initially faced the requirement of depositing 170,000 rupees by March 10 as the second installment of their travel expenses.

CEO Liaquat Ali Afaqi issued a circular detailing the extension of the payment deadline. Pilgrims now have the flexibility to make payments through various online methods such as Credit Cards, Debit cards, Net Banking or UPI on the official Haj Committee of India website. Further, the option to deposit the amount in the account of the Haj Committee of India is available at any branch of the State Bank of India or Union Bank of India.

The third installment of travel expenses is poised to be determined based on airfare and accommodation costs in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims can anticipate the exact amount for the third installment to be communicated to them shortly. Pilgrims must stay tuned for these updates.

The relevant information regarding the Embarkation Points will be displayed on the Hajj Committee of India's website. Pilgrims are encouraged to stay informed about the cost breakdown associated with their pilgrimage.

CEO Liaquat Ali Afaqi underlined that there will be no further extension of the deadline for the payment of the second installment. This urges the importance of prompt payments to facilitate the smooth processing of the pilgrimage.

The deadline for the 550 NRIs among the selected pilgrims to submit their international passports is April 24. Pilgrims seeking to avail themselves of the Mehram quota must submit their online applications by March 15. Adherence to the specified deadlines and procedures is paramount to ensure a seamless Haj pilgrimage process. Pilgrims are strongly advised to take note of these critical dates to avoid any inconveniences.
