Lamia bint Bahian has been appointed as a member and director of the Women's Football Department of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. She will be replacing Adwa Al-Arifi who resigned from the position.

The next general assembly will be held in Jeddah on October 6. Funding of SR300,000 ($80,000) has been approved in support of all third-tier clubs.

The council thanked Al-Arifi for the work she carried out during her tenure. She also played a significant role in establishing women's football in the Kingdom, reported Arabic sports daily Arriyadiyah. Al-Arifi was appointed as the undersecretary of planning and development at the Ministry of Sports.

Al-Arifi attended Al-Yamamah University in Riyadh and obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2011.
