Riyadh: The authority of King Khalid International Airport (KAIA) in Riyadh, Riyadh Airports Co., has announced the flight notification service here in sign language, Arab News reported, citing Saudi Press Agency.

KAIA is the first airport in the world to implement such a service.

The announcement of the launch of the service was publicized through social media. Riyadh Airports Co. said that it has pledged to strengthen its service to passengers, roping in digital technology.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Maghlouth, CEO of Riyadh Airports Co., said in a statement that the new launch would assist passengers with disabilities. He further said that the company had started many initiatives as part of its digital transformation. The new Ofoq platform, one among them, has been designed to run the whole airport's operations.
