The world's largest fully liquefied natural gas (LNG) functioning container ship has arrived in the Islamic port of Jeddah, marking its first time in the Kingdom.

The ship Jacques Saade, owned by the French shipping line CMA-CGM, is 400 meters long and 61 meters wide and has a capacity of 23,000 containers. The vessel's service was launched in September last year. The ship arrived in Jeddah upon a cooperation agreement signed by the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) with CMA-CGM, the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The President of MAWANI Saad bin Abdulaziz Alkhalb stated that Jacques Saade's arrival proved a milestone in the history of the Kingdom. He added that the Jeddah Islamic Port is the central hub of regional and international levels connecting the world's three continents.
