The much-awaited dates of air carriers for the return to Saudi Arabia is expected to be declared on Wednesday, as reported by a Saudi local media. The news of the resume of flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia brings relief to millions of stranded expatriates.

In September, Saudi Arabia announced that the air travel services would start from January next year. The preparatory air services began to several countries as Saudi Arabia partially lifted the air travel ban in September.

The media also said that the passengers would also be announced along with the dates to comply with the rules and regulations. With the high number of covid cases, Indian expatriates have been waiting for the declaration of services to India, which is listed amongst countries with the travel ban.

The air bubble arrangement between the kingdom and India brings hope for expats who have valid Saudi work visas but are unable to return to the country due to the pandemic. An air bubble system will allow involved countries' carriers to fly passengers either way without any restrictions. The Indian Ambassador to Saudi had earlier mentioned that the embassy has completed the discussion and is yet to declare officially.
