Abu Dhabi: The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi has announced a diversion for traffic travelling from Abu Dhabi towards Dubai.

Traffic from Abu Dhabi is being diverted from Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road (E311) to Emirates Road (E611). The diversion is located near the intersecting Al Faqa Street, providing an alternative route for commuters.

While the announcement did not specify the duration of the road closure towards Dubai, it is expected that the ITC will provide updates once the roads are reopened. Commuters are advised to stay informed about any developments regarding the diversion.

The decision to divert traffic stems from last week's heavy rainfall, which led to flooding on many major roads across the UAE. To ensure the safety of motorists and manage traffic effectively, temporary diversions have been implemented.

As traffic is diverted from Abu Dhabi to Dubai due to road closures, the ITC continues to monitor the situation closely. Commuters are encouraged to follow updates from the ITC regarding the duration of the diversion and any changes to road conditions.
