Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, unveiled plans for a new university in the emirate as part of the Mothers' Endowment Initiative. The project is boosted by a donation of Dh 400 million from Shobha Realty.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed gratitude towards Sobha Realty for their generous contribution towards the establishment of the university.
"We signed an agreement today to establish a new university in Dubai, backed by a Dh400 million donation from Sobha Realty," Sheikh Hamdan stated on X.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, highlighted the significance of the university project in meeting international education standards.
"The charitable grant agreement signed with Sobha Realty is another significant step towards achieving the goals of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign," Al Gergawi said.
The Mothers' Endowment Initiative, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, aims to support educational needs globally, especially for underprivileged communities.
"It will enable thousands of students from the UAE and the region to enrol and finish their higher education within an exemplary educational environment," Al Gergawi added.
