The UAE has eased Covid-19 restrictions on places of worship. National Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Management Authority reviewed the situation before easing the regulations. The number of daily cases in the Emirates is below 1000.

As per the new regulations, up to 50 people can attend a funeral. Social distancing has been reduced from two metres to one and a half metres, reported the WAM state news agency.

Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, the spokesman for the NECMA, said that they are aware that the community has a major role in ensuring safety and protecting the country's regional and global gains. He added that the committee has adopted a comprehensive strategic plan with performance indicators for the post-COVID-19 period, across all target sectors, to gauge the efforts of national authorities and establishments to achieve the return to the new normal, reported Arab News.

NCEMA said yesterday that students and staff can get free RT-PCR tests every 30 days. The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 833 new cases, 1,127 recoveries, and 3 deaths on Tuesday. The total number of cases recorded in the country so far is 726,05.
