New Delhi: The list of those people who will be given the Padma Bushan award this year on Republic Day is ready. The original list of 148 after intelligence clearance is being pruned and final tally may be around 136. The final names will be announced on January 25.

For Second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan, BJP veteran L K Advani and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal actors Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth will be felicitated.

For Padma Bhushan award, Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, scriptwriter Salim Khan, father of actor Salman, actor Pran posthumously, media personality Rajat Sharma, Swapan Dasgupta, Hari Shankar Vyas ex chief election commissioner N Gopalaswami, Agriculture economist Ashok Gulati, senior lawyers of Supreme Court Harish Salve, K K Venugopal and constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap, wrestler Sushil Kumar, Economist Bibek Debroy, scientists from ISRO, S Arunan of MOM. S K Shivkumar of Chandrayaan, Businessman Shiv Nadar (HCL), Cipla’s Y K Hamid and T V Mohandas Pai Girija Devi (Hindustani vocalist), L Subramaniam (musician) will be felicitated.

For Padma Sri award, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, hockey captain Sardara Singh, badminton player P V Sindhu, chess grandmaster Sasikiran Krishnan, Arunima Sinha, the first women amputee climbed Mount Everest. A Kanyakumari (Carnatic violinist) , Malini Awasthi (folk singer), Smriti Biswas (actor), Sudha Raghunathan (Carnatic vocalist), Molai Peyang (tribal environmentalist), Neil Herbert Nonkynrih of the famous Shillong Choir, Manoj Das (Oriya writer) are among others in the list.
