National Education Policy to be formed by December, says Irani

Jalandhar: Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani has said that the National Education Policy would be formed by December this year.

She said that all the state education ministers have been asked to give their suggestions by November for a uniformed policy for the country.

Irani, who was here to distribute degrees to students on the annual convocation of Kendriya Maha Vidyaliya for Women, called upon the girl students' fraternity to get encouragement from Tessay Thomas, the missile woman of India, who is the project director for Agni IV Missile in DRDO.

She also persuaded them to study technical courses in the vocational education training.

Irani further said that though girls lead in education as compared to the boys, but added that they lack in studies related to technical education.
