New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Tuesday faced two adjournments following protests by the Congress members over Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal's statement about the food park in Amethi.
The Congress members alleged that the minister has been allowed to make repeated statements on the same issue.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said the minister was not able to make her full statement earlier, so the chance was given to her to speak on the issue again.
The issue was raised by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is the member of the Lok Sabha from Amethi.
The house was first adjourned from 11.15 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., and then again from 11.45 a.m. to 12 noon.
