New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Friday said BJP does not practice vendetta politics, a statement that comes against the backdrop of Haryana government ordering a judicial probe into the Robert Vadra land deal case.

"This much I can assure the countrymen that as far as our government is concerned, we do not do vendetta politics. We want to take everybody along and want to ensure everyone's development," he told reporters here.

Haryana government has yesterday formed a commission to investigate grant of license to some entities, including Vadra's company, for developing commercial colonies in Sector 83 of neighbouring Gurgaon.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said if Haryana government wants to investigate and inquire into the land deals during the previous Congress government, where does the question of vendetta arise.

"Be it Vadra or anyone else, no one is above the law. On the question of fraud in land deal, the entire nation knew of it. After a clean chit was given in a hurry by the previous Congress government, if Haryana government today wants to re-investigate and inquire into the loot due to land deals, where does the question of vendetta arise," Naqvi said.
