New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to let his democratically elected government function independently.
In his letter, Kejriwal also accused the central government of trying to run his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government through Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, government sources said.
The chief minister made the allegation at a public rally on Sunday too.
The letter comes a day after Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia complained to President Pranab Mukherjee that Jung was interfering in the work of the AAP government.
Jung and Kejriwal have been involved in an ugly spat over the posting of bureaucrats in the Delhi government.
