She alleged the man was trying to blackmail her with the help of ‘doctored audio and video recordings.’
The case has been filed at the Tughlaq Road police station in New Delhi and the police have started an investigation.
In the complaint, Singh said the man, Pradeep Chauhan, threatened to make the recordings public unless she paid him Rs 2 cr. Singh claimed she was unaware of the content of the clips.
"We have registered a case under sections 384 (extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and we have formed multiple teams to look into the matter," a senior police officer told IANS.
