PM Modi likely to cut down foreign trips in 2016text_fields
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to cut down his foreign visits in 2016.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Modi will travel abroad when it is absolutely necessary, allowing him time to focus on domestic issues.
He has reportedly asked the external affairs ministry to keep his foreign engagements in 2016 to the minimum and his travel plans, as of now, is restricted to a couple of visits abroad in the first half of the year and international summits in the latter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited 33 countries around the world in his first 19 months in office.
