Subramanian Swamy says Aamir Khan collaborated with ISI to promote 'PK'
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday created a furor with his allegation that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan had collaborated with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to promote his movie the ‘PK’.
“I don’t give importance to the statements made by Aamir Khan. I know this fact that he had collaborated with the Pakistan’s ISI to promote his movie ‘PK’. He has still not come out with a clarification,” Swamy said.
“Being the brand ambassador of Incredible India campaign him saying that his wife feels insecure in the country, was not right. If she feels insecure, she should leave,” he added.
Earlier, BJP leader Ram Madhav had asked Aamir Khan to preach to his wife about India’s prestige.
“It will not work that you preach to an auto wallah how the country’s prestige has to be saved but not tell the same to your own wife,” Madhav had said at Delhi’s SGBT Khalsa College.
In November, Aamir had expressed alarm and despondency over the rise in cases displaying intolerance in the last six to eight months.
At an awards event, Aamir had spoken up against intolerance in India. He had said that his wife Kiran Rao had wondered if the family should leave the country, drawing fire from BJP and RSS leaders.
