New Delhi: Manipur activist Irom Chanu Sharmila announced on Tuesday that she will break her 15-year-long fast against the withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).
“I will break my fast as the Govt has failed to give any positive response,” Irom said.
She said she would now fight the upcoming state elections to resolve the issues.
The elections for the Manipur Legislative Assembly are scheduled to happen in early 2017.
