Chennai: Amid speculations that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will fly to Singapore for treatment of high fever and de-hydration, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Saturday termed the news as "completely false" and assured that their party chief is recuperating even as the people of Tamil Nadu are praying for her speedy recovery.

"It is completely false. Honourable Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is very well. She has started taking normal food, her fever has come down, doctors and management of Apollo have already given the statement. The people of Tamil Nadu and Tamilians across the world are praying for her," AIDMK leader C.R.Saraswathi told ANI.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the Apollo Hospital on Thursday night after complaining of high fever.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Modi has wished her a speedy recovery.

Several opposition leaders in Tamil Nadu, including BJP state chief Tamilisai Soundararajan and Dravidar Kazhagam chief K Veeramani also wished her speedy recovery.
