10-year-old boy dies as Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch

New Delhi: Three civilians have got injured in Pakistani shelling as the country broke the ceasefire agreement once again. Pakistan forces fired at Indian positions in Kerni And Malti areas in Poonch district. The Indian forces have retaliated in equal measure. Meanwhile, a 10-year-old boy died in the firing.

Police sources said heavy shelling and firing started between the two armies in Kerni area.

“After the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions, Indian military retaliated strongly and effectively. Shelling and firing exchanges are going on,” a source told IANS.

Pakistan forces have violated the ceasefire agreement over 440 times this year. Meanwhile, security forces foiled infiltration bid Kashmir’s Keran sector. The forces killed an infiltrator. A massive search operation has been launched.

Last week, the Pakistani Army had violated ceasefire Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Bhimber Gali sectors. They had initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of Small arms, automatics and mortars at around 8 am, to which, the Indian Army retaliated strongly.
