A 45-year old man was beaten for refusing to chant 'Jai Sri Ram' in Sirohi district of Rjasthan. The video showing the cruel act has gone viral. The victim was Mohammed Salim and the one who beat him was an 18-year old named Vinay Meena who himself recorded and spread the video.

The three-minute video shows the accused Vinay beating Mohammed Salim 25 times. At all times, Salim's reply was God is great.

Muslim community members have come out in protest against the event, and have lodged a complaint in Abu Road City Police Station. According to the police, an FIR has been registered against the accused, who has also been taken into custody on charges of hurting religious sentiments and other counts.

In December last, a man Afrazul was burned alive over allegations of Love-Jihad and the video showing it was similarly circulated via social media.
