No decision taken on Uniform Civil Code: Amit Shah

New Delhi: The BJP has not taken any decision regarding uniform civil code, said BJP President Amit Shah.

A law has been passed regarding triple talaq; but the Congress opposes it in the Rajya Sabha. The bill will be placed again for the consideration of Rajya Sabha, he added.

Amit Shah said that if elections are held now, BJP will win more seats than it did in 2014. In 2014 when elections were held the BJP was ruling in six states. Now, the party is ruling 22 states which is an evidence of the fact that the BJP has gained more dominance in India.

The economy is moving in the right direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and finance minister Jaitley, as proven by the record highs of Sensex. During the UPA government, there was no progress in the economic front, Amit Shah said.
