New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah "intruders" and "migrants" in Delhi, said Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday.

Both the leaders have homes in Gujarat but they are now living in Delhi, the Congress leader reasoned.

He was attacking the Central government on the National Register of Citizens (NRC), implemented in Assam. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury went on “India is not anyone’s property”.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “Hindustan sab ke liye hai, ye Hindustan kisi ki jageer hai kya? Sabka samaan adhikaar hai. Amit Shah ji, Narendra Modi ji aap khud ghuspetiye hain. Ghar aapka Gujarat agaye Dilli, aap khud migrant hain.”

Talking to news agency ANI he said, "India is for everyone; is this country anyone's property?”

The congress leader’s statement on Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi follows the home minister's statement that the NRC will be implemented nationwide.
