Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India MIM, on Monday had a go at the BJP government over its indecisiveness on bringing in a nation-wide NRC.

According to Owaisi Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were giving contradictory statements creating confusion on the issue.

The President of India had in his address to Parliament earlier this year stated that the government would bring in the National Registry of Citizens (NRC), he said talking to media here.

Owaisi chief wondered if it was a tactic of the BJP to divert attention of the public.
