New Delhi: Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) report on controversial Rafale fighter aircraft deal is expected to be tabled in the Parliament on Monday.

The report of the CAG would follows thorough review of the Rafale deal. It might look into various aspects including pricing, the request for proposals received from all vendors and pricing of other fighter jets available globally.

The acquisition of 36 aircraft from France’s Dassault Aviation has kicked up a storm in parliament with the opposition lead by Congress trying to corner the government ahead of national polls.

The price per aircraft, according to the opposition, as negotiated by the Modi government is far higher than what was originally agreed to in 2012.

However, the Modi government said that all rules and procedure had been followed in the acquisition process.

The Congress has highlighted Rafale row in the poll campaigns in five states in November.
