New Delhi: Rajasthan police nabbed an Indian Army jawan posted in a tank regiment in Jaisalmer allegedly on charges of espionage.
He was found to be what reports said honey trapped by Pakistan-based ISI operatives on social media and passing on sensitive military information to them.
The soldier identified as Sombir hailing from Haryana was in touch with suspected ISI spy using the profile name “ Anika Chopra” on Facebook.
The soldier used to chat with the operative and exchanged information about his armoured unit and its movement. The Army is currently tracking whether the Pakistani spy was in touch with other personnel.
