New Delhi: Shashi Tharoor on Monday expressed willingness to take up “additional responsibility” in the parliament eyeing the position of leader of Congress party in the Lok Sabha.
Talking to NDTV, Tharoor said, “I cannot determine things regarding positions of the party in Parliament, the Congress party will have to decide on that. But I am available to take up any additional responsibility in Parliament,”
His comments came as Rahul Gandhi is about to decide on the post of Leader of the part in the lower house.
Tharoor, MP from Thiruvananthapuram for the third time, said that he would put his talent in the service of his party.
The Congress lacks enough numbers for the status of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, as in 2014.
