IUML leaders in Assam to study NRC

New Delhi:  Leaders of Indian Union Muslim League arrived in Assam to study issues relating to national register of citizens.

Representatives led by top leaders including general secretary PK Kunjalikutty, national president Prof. Khadar Moideen, organizing secretary E T Muhammad Bhasheer reached Assam.

In a press meet held in Guwahati, leaders urged the Center to consider the issues relating to the citizen register as a matter of human rights.  

Also, they asked the Centre not to turn its own citizens as refugees.  Prof. Khadar Moideen inaugurated the help desk, set by IUML Assam chapter, to support those excluded from the citizen list.

The desk would help people prepare necessary denouements to be submitted tribunal.
