New Delhi: Chaos broke out at Supreme Court, as security personnel got into a tizzy and rushed into action after a bomb scare triggered by an unclaimed bag, with a beeping power bank, near the conference room on the court premises.

The unclaimed bag was close to the judges' gallery near the conference room, which usually remains a crowded area as it is also a passage to connect to the courtrooms on the other side of the court complex.

The constant beep sound from the bag alarmed the security personnel in the gallery. The area was cordoned off for a while and people were asked not to cross over to the other side. Though, there was commotion for some time, but the proceedings of the courts were not affected.

One of the security personnel removed the bag and took it to an isolated place. According to the security officials, the bag had a power bank connected to a chargeable torch.

"The torch was completely charged and the beep sound originated after it attained 100 per cent charge. Initially, it was difficult to understand what could have led to this sound, as the bag was lying unclaimed in a corner," said a security personnel on the condition of anonymity.
