Palestinian health workers collect random swab samples from people to test for the Covid-19 coronavirus in Rafah

The Oxford University is accused of not including Palestinians, who are living under the Israeli occupation, in Israeli's vaccination programme through its website - Our World in Data that tracks coronavirus vaccine delivery.

Several human rights groups also criticised the website for using politicised numbers and celebrating a military occupation in the region.

As reported by The Independent, 19 NGOs including Amnesty International, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and a coalition of Palestinian human rights groups have demanded that the 4.5 million Palestinians living under Israel's military occupation should be included in Israel's population who will be vaccinated.

They have demanded this raising the Fourth Geneva Convention agreements.

Our World in Data affiliated with Oxford University is a scientific online publication that focuses on large global problems such as poverty, disease, etc.

The Covid-19 vaccinations chart by World In One Hand had shown Israel's remarkable achievement in vaccinating many of its citizens.

The groups said that applauding Israel for its mass vaccination without counting the people under its military power was illegal and morally problematic.

According to World Health Organisation data, over half of Israelis have been vaccinated in comparison to under 150,000 Palestinians who have been vaccinated in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.

The Israelis have vehemently denied accusations of discrimination in its vaccine rollout and officials claimed that Israel has vaccinated Palestinians living in Jerusalem as well as Palestinians who work in Israel.
