AL-AIN (United Arab Emirates): There was no din of clamouring fans but there were goals. Qatar vented its fury hitting North Korea’s net six times on Sunday at the near-empty Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in UAE.

In one-off show, Qatar’s Almoez Ali scored four goals with two in the first half and two in the second. He finds himself in the chart of top scorers.

With few fans to encore in the stadium, thanks to long-running blockade of the nation, Qatar’s goals went with no plaudit.

Those in attendance, roughly 300 in the 16,000-capacity stadium, often waved flags.
However, the curtain-raiser tournament in Abu Dhabi had nearly 34,000 fans.
