Kozhikode: Trinidadian Marcus Joseph helped Gokulam Kerala FC stay afloat against NEROCA FC on Sunday here.
Kicking the riveting sixth goal in consecutive matches, Marcus pulled off a 2-1 win for Gokulam FC at EMS Corporation stadium.
The win put Gokulam to a tally of 17 points from 19 matches alongside placing the team in ninth position. NEROCA is at the fifth spot with 26 points.
In the first half Gokulam found it hard to dominate the rival before being slapped with a goal by Nigerian Felix Chidi for NEROCA. In the second half, an agile Gokulam hit hard making it to the top.
