England Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal scores another double-ton!!!

Rajkot: At the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Gujarat, youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal rammed the English men to score his career-second double-century on the 4th day of the third Test on Sunday. Jaiswal, who retired on Saturday after scoring a ton due to a back spasm, returned today after Shubhman Gill fell to complete the double ton.
On Sunday, he matched with former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram to register the record for most sixes in a Test innings (12). Akram made the record against Zimbabwe in 1996. Also, Jaiswal became the only batter in history to hit 20 or more sixes in a single Test series, NDTV reported.
Further, team India became the team with the most sixes in a Test series. India broke its own record of 47 sixes in a series (registered in 2019 against South Africa), hitting 48 sixes. England, with 43 sixes, and Australia, with 40 sixes, follow India in this regard.
Jaiswal returned on Sunday to score an unbeaten 214, playing with Sarfaraz Khan. When India reached the lead of 556, the team declared.
On Saturday, Jaiswal shifted gears all of a sudden in the final session. Having reached 35 off 73 balls, he peppered the field with powerful strokes to bring up his second century of the series and third overall in his career. Jaiswal retired after scoring 104 from 133 balls after back spasms forced him to do so. But by then, he had already scored nine fours and five sixes.
On Saturday, England's Ben Duckett called India's Yashasvi Jaiswal a "superstar in the making" but said his side deserves credit for inspiring players in the opposition camp to bat aggressively in Test cricket.
