Ganguly ad for Fortune cooking oil pulled down
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Former cricketer and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been pulled off the advertisement of Forture Rice Bran cooking oil, following a mild cardiac arrest he suffered recently.
Ganguly's endorsement of the cooking oil was with a claim to be healthy for the heart. Social media had gone round with troll about the ad campaign as a travesty of the man in his condition with cardiac health.
Following the reactions, Adani Wilmar, the parent company of fortune Oils - pulled down all their ads featuring Ganguly.
Meanwhile, the 48-year-old is reported to be on the way to full recovery and expected to be discharge by Wednesday. His angioplasty that was mulled at a point, was postponed to a later stage, as per the advice of the nine-member medical board attending on him.
