India's second test against England will mark the return of spectators in the gallery. Since the outbreak of pandemic Covid-19, games were hosted with empty gallery. The second Test at Chennai will be noted for the attendance of cricket fans as Tamil Nadu Cricket Association announced the guidelines for around 15,000 fans expected to watch the match.

The guidelines released on Sunday mentions social distancing and face masks as mandatory.

"Face mask, covering mouth and nose, is mandatory for entry into the stadium; maintain social distancing within the stadium premises at all times," TNCA mentioned in a media release.

The statement further added that "persons showing any symptoms of COVID 19 like Fever, Cough, Cold etc will be denied entry into the stadium,"
