Cricket: After Kolkata Knight Rider's Rinku Singh pulled off the impossible in the team's IPL match against strong Gujarat Titans on Saturday, important persons in the cricket world join fans to praise the feat.

When KKR's defeat was concrete in the last over, after it asked for 29 runs from six balls to victory, Rinku sent the final five balls over the fences to beat the Gujarati challenge. His performance at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad won the hearts of the whole cricket universe.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar tweeted that "It is not over till it is over". "A match that went down to the wire & continued shifting momentum. One felt Rashid's hat-trick was a game-changer, but Rinku's power-hitting was something special. Enjoyed the last few moments," he said.

Virendra Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Mohammed Kaif, all Indian ex-cricket stars, surfaced to praise Rinku's knock.

Shreyas Iyer, part of KKR but out of the tournament due to a back injury, posted a story, "What a match, unbelievable. Rinku bhai kabhi na haare! (What a match, unbelievable, Rinku bhai never loses!),"

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), another IPL franchise, took to Twitter to express their awe and inspiration at Rinku's knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, who were beaten by KKR in the match before, hailed Rinku's batting.

International Cricket Council (ICC) drew Rinku's performance parallel with West Indies star Carlos Braithwaite's knock against England in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016. Brathwaite had unleased fury over Ben Stokes, smashing five sixes in the final over that time.

ICC tweeted, "Rinku Singh Carlos Brathwaite "Remember the name!" #IPL2023 #T20WorldCup.”
