Kochi: Come Monday, Mohammed Nizar will not take any chance.

The auto-driver from Nilambur, Malappuram missed his son scoring five goals for Kerala against Karnataka in the Santhosh Trophy semifinal on Thursday.

22-year-old Jesin T K has become the latest football sensation in Kerala, according to Indian Express.

Mohammed Nizar pined all day for watching the game from the stands.

But he was caught up by day's trips, missing his son wowing fans in the stadium some 50 km away in Manjeri.

Jesin T K pulled off a history of sorts with five goals giving his team 7-3 win after being fielded as a substitute.

Besides scoring five goals, Jesin owns the new record for most number of goals in a game, beating Asif Saheer's record of four goals against Bihar in 1999.

Mohammed Nizar will take a day off on Monday to watch Kerala taking on West Bengal in the final.

This football-crazy father says it will be the biggest day of his life.

The father according to the report is realizing his unfulfilled dream through his son.

Mohammed Nizar wanted to become a footballer himself

But he was all over the place in sports such as athletics, basketball and kabaddi without focus.

Mohammed Nizar said he had no one to guide him at the time, but he wouldn't allow his son to mooch around in every game.

Jesin was good at athletics as well but the father wanted to him to focus, which worked.

Jesin stormed in at 30 th minute when the hosts were trailing by a goal.

Four minutes into entering, the striker hit one tricking the onrushing goalkeeper.

Riding on a wave of encore, Jesin struck a hat-trick within 15 minutes, before adding two more goals in the second half, according to the report.

Jesin, who plays for Kerala United, says he owes his rise to Bino George, the Kerala coach who also guides the club, as well as the coaches at MES College in Mampad where he is pursuing graduation in Arabic, The Indian Express reported.

Mohammed Nizar said that Jesin's grandmother Aamina also played key role in his success.

When Mohammed Nizar worked in Gulf, his mother Aamina used to take him to football academy in Nilambur.

Jesin's rise marks Malappuram's fame as the major football hub of the nation.
