New Delhi: An advert of the French luxury house, Louis Vuitton (LV) breaks the internet, being the first ever joint promotion featuring the football legends Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Both players are seen placed against one another in a game of chess played on LV trunks.

The athletes come together to promote Louis Vuitton's Maison's Art of Living Collections, which honours the company's long heritage of producing trunks for the world's most valuable athletic trophies.

The LV trunk portrayed in the advert is the replica of the one which is used to present the World Cup trophy at the 2018 edition in Russia.

The photograph, called by the fans the click of a century, is taken by American photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The French luxury house's Instagram handle captioned the photo, "Victory is a State of Mind." Both Ronaldo, as well as Messi, shared the photo on their Instagram handles.

The photo gained over 50 million likes combined and is still counting.

Recently in an interview, the Portuguese superstar shared his attitude towards the Argentinian maestro Messi, often portrayed as a rival that he is always like a teammate to him.

Ronaldo also hailed Messi as an amazing player.

Many believe that the tournament in Qatar will be the last world cup for both of the football legends.

According to predictions, if Portugal and Argentina top their groups they will have a chance to meet on the biggest stage of football.
