Tilak Maidan : Hyderabad FC made thrilling cup back in the 87th minute of the match to send Kerala Blasters back home. In high voltage final match Kerala Blasters surrendered to Hyderabad FC in penalty shootout for 3-1. Kerala Blasters suffered its third loss in the finals of ISL.

Kerala Blasters scored the lead in the 67th minute of the match. After receiving the ball from his own half, KP Rahul made exemplary run and hit the net. For next 30 minutes Kerala Blasters tried to stick on the lead with defensive tactics and less aggressive attacks. Hyderabad striker Sahil Tavora scored in the 88th minute of the match from defensive error in clearing freekick .

Kerala Blasters performed impressive throughout the match. In the first half of the match team consciously made attacks and opened many chances. Strikers failed to convert the chances in to results. The coordination in the game helped team to keep the momentum through out the game.

Blaster's midfield ruled throughout the the game and was impressive in defusing the Hyderabad attacks. Midfield almost silenced the key player throughout the match. Coordination of defense, midfield and attack was evident in the game making Blasters ferocious throughout the game.

KP Rahul scored in the 67th minute of the match giving an advantage to Kerala. Rahul converted a half chance in to result but in the 87th minute of the match Hyderabad striker Sahil Tavora equalized the match with volley shot.

Both the team tried to score in the extra minute leading the game in to penalties. Blasters horribly failed to hit the net. Three of the four players attended the penalty missed the chances.

Hyderabad goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani stood alone in the match for his performance in the penalty shootout. His experience in handling the situation combined with talent defeated in Kerala Blasters.

Kerala Blasters entered the finals after long six years and have to wait more for an ISL trophy.
