A robot at Elon Musk’s Tesla factory in Texas attacks engineer

Texas, US: A robot at Tesla's Giga Texas factory in Austin, Texas attacked a software engineer in 2021, said a newly revealed report.
The malfunctioning robot, originally designed to move aluminum car parts, pinned the engineer before sinking its claws and wounding on his hand.
The injury report from 2021 said that there was a trail of blood on the factory floor after the engineer was attacked.
The engineer was programming software for robots tasked with cutting car parts from freshly cast aluminum when he was attacked.
During the process two robots were disabled for maintenance but a third, unknowingly left active, caused the attack.
The engineer suffered an open wound on his left hand which was not severe though.
Tesla however refused to comment on the lapse in safety. Although no other robot-linked injuries were reported at the Texas factory, reports hints at safety lapses here, according to NDTV.
At least 21 workers suffered injuries last year at Giga Texas, according to Injury reports submitted to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
It is higher than the median injury rate of one in 30 workers in the automotive industry, the report said.
Current and former Tesla workers reportedly accused the company of often putting employees at risk compromising on construction, maintenance, and operations.
