Dreams of the private sector will ride on Vikram-s on November 18

New Delhi: The rocket Vikram-S will climb skies on November 18 marking the beginning private players in India entering in space research for the first time.
Skyroot Aerospace said it would launch its Prarambha mission at 11:30 a couple of days away from the Indian Space Research Centre's Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
Until now space technology has been under the government watch with Isro in charge of it.
India's successful foray in space research has been widely appreciated across the world; however there was the lack of a need much oomph that only the private players could bring in.
Vikram-S rocket fits the bill coming in the right moment when more private companies internationally are investing in space research.
On November 18, the Prarambh mission will see Vikram-S rocket carrying three payloads onboard climbing to an altitude of 120 kilometers above the surface of Earth and afterwards deploying.
The Suborbital flight will give way to Skyroot's more advanced main vehicle, the Vikram-I to go into Low Earth Orbit shortly.
As well as showcasing India's private sector diversifying into newer areas, the flight of the rocket will demonstrate that new age entrepreneurs no longer look at space technology as off-limits to them.
