Outage monitoring website Downdetector.com reported that Meta Platform's Instagram was unavailable on Wednesday for hundreds of users around the world.
At the height of the outage, more than 46,000 users in the US reported having trouble reaching the photo-sharing platform, according to Downdetector, which keeps track of outages by compiling status reports from various sources, including user-submitted errors on its own platform, Reuters reported.
Around 2,000 UK users were affected, and there were over 1,000 complaints each from India and Australia, according to Downdetector.
A request for comment from Reuters was not quickly answered by Meta.
