New Delhi: Google informed about it finding a glitch in its web browser Google Chrome and asked users of operating systems Windows, macOS, and Linux to update the Chrome version to 99.0.4844.84, IANS reported.

The company added that the vulnerability in the last version is being utilized in the wild, which Google is aware of.

In a statement, Google said, "We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third-party library that other projects similarly depend on but haven't yet fixed."

The update can be done easily by going to the three dots on the top-right corner of Chrome and going to Help > About Google Chrome, and starting the update.

The company said, "We would also like to thank all security researchers that worked with us during the development cycle to prevent security bugs from ever reaching the stable channel."
