New Delhi: Indian content creators and influencers are rejoicing as they begin to earn money through X's, formerly Twitter, newly launched ad-revenue-sharing program. Under this scheme, selected content creators are eligible to receive a portion of the revenue generated from ads displayed in their replies.

For eligibility in X's ad revenue sharing program, creators must be verified users with a minimum of 5 million impressions on their posts in each of the past 3 months and possess a Stripe payment account. Numerous users have enthusiastically shared screenshots of the amounts deposited in their bank accounts by X, expressing their joy and enthusiasm for this opportunity.

One content creator, Abhishek Asthana, known as @GabbbarSingh, revealed that he earned nearly Rs 2.1 lakh due to the impressions he garnered. Sharing a screenshot of the payout, he quipped, "Blue tick ke paise vasool." He further commented, "Twitter's strategy is very simple, payout big influencers and turn them into Blue tick salesmen. That's the real revenue source."

User 'Maithun' posted a screenshot showing a deposit of Rs 3,51,000 in their bank account.

Another user highlighted, "$455.75 is pretty good. If you want to benchmark, I have roughly ~17M impressions in the last 3 months and ~25k followers."

In a lighthearted tone, a third user joked, "Have updated my Tinder bio to 'Sole earning member of the family... from social media.' Thanks to Twitter revenue."

Creators from around the world are also sharing the amounts they have received through this new program on the micro-blogging platform.

X is actively working to attract more content creators to its platform. Earlier this year, the company introduced the ability for users to offer paid subscriptions for their content. This initiative is seen as part of X's ongoing efforts to enhance its offerings and provide opportunities for content creators to monetise their presence on the platform.
