San Fransico: Meta proclaimed that it is going to shut down its newsletter Bulletin, for creators and writers, by early 2023.

Shutting the product, the company will concentrate Bulletin's resources to work on its discovery algorithm that the company is building to challenge the Chinese short video platform, TikTok, IANS reported.

Bulletin was launched in June 2021 for content creators. The product is a set of publishing and subscription tools to support creators in the United States.

However, Meta promised that though the off-platform product is to be closed, it would remain committed to backing creators to success and growth, TechCrunch reported.

Also, writers will continue receiving subscription revenue until its shut down next year.

The fresh move comes as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg froze hirings, cut costs and restructured some groups within the company.

IANS reports that with Bulletin, Meta Meta wanted to support creators and unify its existing tools with something that could more directly support great writing and audio content "from podcasts to Live Audio Rooms" on a single platform.

Facebook had announced to roll out new investments, products and services aimed at supporting more independent writers and experts. Bulletin writers will get a chance to bring up deeper connections with their audiences on Facebook.
