New Delhi: Musk is facing criticism over gender imbalance at Twitter after a photo emerged today.

Musk has been firing employees left and right since taking over Twitter a fortnight ago.

More than 50 percent of over 8000 employees have been showed door.

While citing crisis as the reason behind expelling workers, there was at least one report of firing employees on perceived disrespectful behaviour.

One engineer was fired after arguing with Musk on social media, two other were axed after they refused to fire workers in their department, according to a report.

Only a couple of days ago, a large of number of employees reportedly resigned after Musk chose to tighten up work culture.

However, the more disturbing side of the job loss at Twitter became a talking point today after a mashed up photo of Twitter employees emerged.

The one half of the combined photo there were numerous women employees posing for photo with smiles on their faces.

The other half has Elon Musk and a few of the remaining employees thumbing up—of course with big smiles on their faces.

Netizens took note of fewer number of women in the picture taken after the arrival of Musk at Twitter.

The photos shared on Twitter by YouTuber Laura Chen captured "a health mix of both genders" at Twitter during pre-Musk era.

The tweet has gone viral, garnering over 3 lakh likes and 33.1k retweets alongside many reacting to the gender mismatch.

One user said "Tell me you support the patriarchy without telling me you support the patriarchy".

Another user was bit more critical of the employees posing for photo with Musk, asking "How could people in the second picture could still laugh while 80+ % of their colleagues are gone? Purely disgusting".
