New York: AI-generated models and influencers will complete in the "Miss AI" beauty pageant to win the prize money of $20,000, NDTV reported citing Forbes.

The translucent beauties will be judged based on their looks, influence on social media, and number of fans they engage, among others.

The contest will also assess AI influencers’ clout based on the ‘rate of growth of audience and utilisation of platforms’, the report based on a release from World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) said.

AI-generated beauties will move in front of panel of four judges which will include two AI influencers: Aitana Lopez from Spain who boasts more than 300,000 followers and Emily Pellegrini, with upwards of 250,000 followers on Instagram.

The human judges include Andrew Bloch, an entrepreneur and PR adviser along with Sally-Ann Fawcett who is a beauty pageant historian.

Sally-Ann Fawcett is author of the book Misdemeanours: Beauty Queen Scandals.

"It's been a fast learning curve expanding my knowledge on AI creators, and it's quite incredible what is possible," Fawcett was quoted as saying in a statement.

The rules laid down for the contest say that entrants must be 100 per cent AI-generated with no restrictions on the tools being used.

"Miss AI welcomes creations produced from any type of generator, whether it's DeepAI, Midjourney or your own tool," the rules reportedly read.

With the entries opened on Sunday, it is reported that thousands have poured in.
