Washington: President Joe Biden warned that a nuclear attack by North Korea against the US or its allies will result in the end of the communist regime in the country.

Biden talked tough on North Korea’s aggressive missile testing during South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit in White House where Yeon and his wife Kim Keon Hee received a pompous welcome, according to news agency AFP.

At the joint press conference with South Korean president, Biden reportedly said: ‘A nuclear attack by North Korea against the United States or its allies... will result in the end of whatever regime were to take such an action’.

The meeting of two state heads comes amid North Korea’s aggressive missile tests in the past several weeks, despite warnings from its neigbhours including South Korea and Japan.

The two leaders reportedly claimed of strengthening the US security shield for South Korea in the face of North's missile tests, according to the report.

Both the leaders openly warned North Korea of a devastating response if the communist dictatorship attacks the South or the United States.

Yoon said in the event of a North Korean nuclear attack, Washington and Seoul would ‘respond swiftly, overwhelmingly and decisively using the full force of the alliance including US nuclear weapons.’

Meanwhile, both the leaders issued what is titled as the ‘Washington Declaration’ loaded with ideas to strengthen ‘nuclear umbrella over South Korean’ just as North Korean is brandishing its weapons in a show of strength.

As Yoon claimed that Biden ‘reaffirmed’ commitment to the South Korea, which includes two countries sharing information and consult in the event of a North Korean attack.
