New Delhi/London: About a dozen Indian embassy staff on Wednesday held a long tricolor on the terrace of Indian High Commission building in London as if it were a human chain, demonstrating India’s strength.

As it was happening, some of the over 2,000 Khalistani supporters were reportedly throwing ‘throwing ink, water bottles and powdered colours at the police’ who were guarding the area, according to report by NDTV.

This time Indian officials unfurled a bigger flag than the one Khalistani protesters pulled down outside the Indian High Commission’s building in London.

In response to the chaotic scenes on Sunday when the tricolor was pulled down, police barricaded Khalistani supports across the road as well as patrolling the area, according to the report.

London police provided extra security to India High Commission building after expressed displeasure over poor handling of the Sunday’s incidents by the police.

The London Metropolitan Police parked more than 20 buses near the India House alongside deploying mounted troops to patrol the streets.

In what many interpreted as India’s expression of displeasure, police in Delhi removed traffic barricades outside the British High Commission.

Delhi police explained that barricade were removed as they were "creating hurdles" for commuters.
