Boat carrying Rohingyan refugees capsizes off Indonesia’s coast

Meulaboh, Indonesia: An Indonesian search and rescue ship discovered a capsized wooden boat on Thursday, carrying numerous Rohingya Muslim refugees. It then started rescuing the survivors who were perched on the boat's hull and brought them to safety.
The total number of refugees on the small wooden boat containing men, women, and children was unclear when it overturned on Wednesday off the northernmost coast of Indonesia.
An AP photographer aboard the rescue ship said 10 people had been taken aboard local fishing boats, and another 59 were being saved by the Indonesian craft.
As the rescue operation began and people were transferred to a rubber dinghy for the rescue boat, men, women, and children, who were soaked in the last night's rain, broke down in tears.
