London: Queen Elizabeth II is being put under medical supervision after doctors expressed concern over her health. Elizabeth, Britain's longest-serving monarch, has been fighting health issues since October 2021 and has withdrawn herself from public appearances, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

Elizabeth is instantly a recognisable figure around the globe and has marked 70 years on the throne, succeeding her father, king George VI in 1952.

The new prime minister of the state, Liz Truss, tweeted, "The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime." "My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time," she added. This comes two days after she was appointed to succeed Borris Johnson as the new premiere by the queen.

The latest update is that Elizabeth's children- heir to the throne, Prince Charles, 73, Princess Anne, 72, Prince Andrew, 62, and Prince Edward, 58, were either at or heading to join her at the Balmoral royal estate in Scotland, AFP reported.

Further, Charles's elder son Prince William along with his younger son Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, is also heading to Balmoral Castle. Prince Harry and his wife, who had abandoned their royal life and moved to the United States, visiting the Balmoral is rare, AFP reports.
